The previous owner of my TD5 was obviously not a member of Landyzone as he has completely sealed the sunroof glass to the frame with some black gutter sealant which has now gone hard. It continued to leak and after I bought it and read the tips on here about leaky sunroofs, a bead of sealant around the roof frame cured the problem immediately. After having a dig about in this black ****e, I am beginning to think that perhaps a replacement sunroof from a scrapper may be the quickest and best option especially as I intend to change the headlining anyway due to a tear in the back. My existing sunroof is a manual version and I am thinking of coverting to electric, taking the feed from the interior light, has anyone done this and is it a straightforward job.:(

Interia light supply wont be man enough to run the elec sunroof there will probably be a hole for a fuse for the sun roof inthe fuse box and may have the feed to it already will just need some wiring and fuse fitted. If not 12v supply (cigaret lighter) wiring will probably be up to the job, check in your manual for the fuse rating for both.
