Hi all,

I'm currently looking to buy a defender 110 hard top. Would like it to be a 2007 or after model, the nicest condition and lowest Milage possible (don't we all) for prob top end £11,000.
I've had a look on the searches but wandered if there are any gems I'm missing!
- I'm trying to get a list of good reputable places to buy from (commercial sites possibly I guess) or auction sites etc.
I'm from Essex so the closer the better but can travel a bit for the right Landy.
Thanks in advance
Jack

Not much coinage there for what you're after tbh. You can probably find a few HCPU 110's with high mileage for that but unlikely to find a hard top.

Best of luck with the search.

why do people get hung on low mileage?
a vehicle with low mileage frequently has done short stop start journeys, which cause more wear and tear than longer tripos where everything gets up to temp, oiled properly etc etc.
Id much rather a normal mileage motor with a good service history than a low miler any day, no matter what car it is.

I'd agree, i bought my D3 with 100k on the clock, 5 years old at the time, to me 20k a year is a reasonable average mileage and what the vehicle is designed to do. Over the last 15 months i've added 25k to that problem free :)

I once bought a Scania tractor unit on it's second time round the clock, done just over a million miles when I bought it. All it's life it had done Southampton to Manchester, night and day shift with one day/night off every 6 weeks for serving. One of the best vehicles I've owned though the modern day Scania is a pile of carp.

Thanks, hard tops seem very thin on the ground!!
The low miles I just cant seem to get my head round the low miles not being a good thing!!
