Stuck Rear Door

Hi guys, just bought a 200tdi Disco 1 purely for offroading, has however got a couple of problems. Can't get the rear tailgate door to open, believe there is a method that involves opening both inner & outer handles at the same time, kinda hard to do on yer own. Does have central locking so mebbe that's not helping (as well as it being not used for 3 years !)

My rear door handle used to stick. Popping off the green oval on the handle and spraying wd40 liberally inside worked for me.

Had same issues with mine remove the green land rover logo on rear handle I sprayed some wd40 in it then handle poped open never had any issues since

I did same as above.remove green oval spray some wd or similar grease in.job done

Ditto what they said above..... except I used ed China style penetrating fluid

I did the same as above but I also pulled the door card off and opened the door by pulling various bits of what I found inside. Found it much easier to work on like that and plus you get to lube the inside of the mechanism as well. Managed to have mine open and working perfect within a couple of minutes once I had the door card off

Worked a treat lads,thanks. Removed oval badge, mucho application of WD40 and for good measure seeing as I had the door card off gave the inside mechanism the guns too - sorted. One problem out of the way...............Cheers
