Stone Chip instead of carpet?????

The floor in my Disco is fairly solid so i wanna keep it that way! Gonna take all the carpets out then seal it with something and wondered about stonechip? Will be waterproof, hard wearing and hopefully will protect the floor. Any thoughts??

Personally I have sprayed the whole floor with Schutz, but the problem is that it never really dries hard- it goes soft again in sunshine and whenever anything rubs on it. It also gets stuck to loads etc in the boot so I now have a rubber liner down for protection.

Stone chip paint should be better cos it cures hard, Schutz just goes off!

wouldent certain types of epoxy paint also be good? some even have rust inhibitors in them also

ive done it it mine, great stuff as usually theres more water inside the car than in my fish pond
