Hi - some ****er stole my pretty immaculate Green 1959 series 2 short wheel base soft top landie from outside my house in Clifton, Bristol at 7.20 last night - I just got out of if got into the house & my wife saw someone drive off almost immediately in it - no the keys were not left in it...
Looked for ages to find a great example - spare wheel on bonnet, dark green wheels, bench seats in the back, checker plate floor in cargo area, rest 100% standard. The soft top was not on it as the time it was stolen

If you see it plesea call Bristol police or call me on 07712 678905

thanks

Al

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket open an account and upload a picture/s, though it could be any web-hosting site, indeed almost any image you see on the web ...

When you have one uploaded, or chosen, click on it to get it to a reasonable size, then rightclick the picture and select "Copy Image Location"

Back to Landyzone and click either "New Thread" button, or the "Post Reply" button. Enter text as usual, then position cursor where you want the picture to be and select the "Insert Image" icon, right click and paste the URL you copied earlier, bob's your uncle .. ;)

Many thanks for the idiots guide - it worked !

Anyway this is or was my Landie - what arse would steal a 50 year old Landie ?!? They obv knew what they were doing to force the ignition and start it using the starter button & get away in a matter of moments.....

Any leads gratfully recieved.......

Al

Jeez, but that's nice. Beats me too why anyone would handle or want a stolen Landie .. much more fun to get tham to that state or to a state where you want them .. and I'd guess if it's stolen to order it cost them enough anyway!

Thanks, Pretty unlikely as I bought it from a dealer over in Essex earlier in the year - I think it must have been a screw driver in the ignition job.....

Oh yes, the chassis Number is 141001171 and the engine number is 11HO2417

P'd off of Bristol

I'll be honest anyone that knows Series ones and very early series II's can get it started in less than 2 seconds without keys there is a way. Sorry to hear that it has gone I do hope somone finds this and returns it
