All my airbags are fully depleted, let me see if I can shed more light to this..
3 weeks ago I changed the front o/s air strut completely, didn't have any issues, started up raised up and down no problems ok so far. Someone said that it needs to be calibrated.
So with icarsoft started the calibration...front was 405 both sides the rear I can't remember. Then it started to lift to extended mode and the front n/s airbag blew...I changed front n/s and now it's we're we are at now....the n/s sensor could be damaged, ordered 2 new front.

I think the ecu is confused as it thinks the rear is maxed out when it's actually on the bump stops. I take it you've cleared the fault log and tried another calibration?

I did clear all faults from log except the RDUM. And had another go, when I inserted the front measurement it wouldn't continue and cancelled the operation. As its weekend, I'll have another go. Would disconnect battery clear ECU, and start again.

Have the sensor arms gone over center and are now the wrong way.
Worth a check IMO.

I don't know the icarsoft but I would have thought that if you enter calibration mode the car should go to a preset height at which point you enter the measured values and it works it out from there. This is what my Foxwell does so I assume it's going to where it thinks it should be then measuring the voltages from the sensors and fine tuning from the actuals that you enter.

Been out this morning and to no avail, icarsoft keeps saying values too low and cancelled operation. A friend has told me that the icarsoft is not upto doing that much calibration. If it was just hight that needed calibration, it's OK. But for what I need, it's not...he has the proper RR software for it, so hopefully popping round Sunday, but will post out come here

Yes I think some diags are better than others for calibration. One of our members has issues with his snapon so I took my Foxwell round and sorted it in a few minutes.

Question...
Would the gap 11d give me more control over the whole system, to cure this problem or am I wasting my money.
Gap iid is the way to go I have one for my 2008 3.6, it does the lot so its not a waste of money I have reprogrammed the ccf to do away with drive away locking, enabled auto wipers and wipers to intermitent when you stop at lights ect. Not done suspension calibrate it will do it, "Sams motors and machines" on Youtube has done his.

Question
As the suspension was working OK before I replaced the n/s suspension leg and damaged the hight sensor, would it throw up all the codes I'm getting

Won't make any difference, it will still hold the settings. As you have changed a height sensor it will need recalibrating.
That's the whole point, it won't calibrate, icarsoft won't clear the fault codes, it still thinks the back of the car is in extended mode where in fact the car is on its bump stops
