Have noticed over the last couple of days gear changes have become a little stiff, especially reverse where today I had to coast backwards to get it into gear.

Out on the road it is generally fine.

I have also just noticed that the clutch bites almost as soon as it is lifted from the floor so wonder if this is connected.

Slave cylinder/fluid levels??

Vehicle is a Disco II TD5 year 2000.
Milage is 107k

Thanks

Garage ringing back later when they have a slot.

Have noticed the issue becomes worse if the car is used for a longer period of time. Fine at first start up but do a 15mile run along the road and very stiff at the end of the trip

So it gets stiffer once the gearbox has warmed up?

Sounds to me like the nylon ball at the base of the gear lever needs replacing.

Just spoken to my mechanic, dropping it in later for them to check the system. He feels it may be the clutch itself though he has done a slave cylinders and the fork as well.
