Ah... Im doing a 4" lift with 33" tyres so might make it illegal??

It needs to be vertical enough to read from the front, it's a bit of a grey area but so long as a copper can read it he's not likely to give you a ticket. It can be any height, stick it on the roof if ya like.

what would pikey do?

doesn't apply...

He has stilts sown in his jeans

as long as you got a vertical surface on your bonnet its legal....

why not put the rear number plate on your bonnet but upside down, coz when you brake down, your bonnet will be vertical so can be read from behind......

oh, front number plate ----- you`ll get nicked, coz theres not enough vertical is there...
its them nasty ANPR`s that`ll get you nicked, as mr plod will say, ANPR cant read them..
just get a normal front plate a double sided sticky tape to the inside of your windscreen....
not my fault if you get nicked for that though either..

Most trailer centres supply them. Take your log book in case they are nobs about it, but you can buy the letters and numbers you want technically

lol...................

been told the front bumper areas are a good place for a number plate ;)
and if its italian registered, you can put it to one side like alfa`s do...
but then as we are still in the european union, you can stick it up---------

ok, ok, not another fred on UKIP.....

Question, if our ANPR cams cant read number plates from non UK countries,
how many non UK registered cars are driving about with the bum out the cars or doing :mooning::mooning::mooning:
without being penalised..:mad2:

I had a stick on number plate on a Mk 3 Triumph Spitfire that I rebuilt in 1984. 1st time out after a respray I was filling up with fuel when up walked plod. He's come to admire the car I thought. Wrong! He told me my number plate wasn't legal as it was wasn't vertical enough.........

I had to take my documents to the local station where the desk sergeant delighted in telling me the plod was brand spanking new out the bag and I was his first 'offender'. He then told me to get another number plate and stick it in the boot to hang over the grill if I ever got stopped again....

So does this mean motorbikes and most tractors are immune from ANPR cameras? (No front numberplate)
