Disco 2 Stereo

Afternoon all,my stereo has packed up,it's the alpine radio/tape / cd one in my d2 es.Tried to switch on and seems to no power to it,checked fuses in drivers side box under dash and they all work,power both sides.Does anyone know if there another one anywhere and us there one in the back of the head unit itself?Ta

I'm sure there is a fuse on the back of the stereo itself.

Could also be that after at least 12yrs it's tired of Cotton Eye Joe on repeat?

Ok thanks I haven't got the key things to get it out so I'll order some and it'll have to wait a bit.Its not cotton eye Joe that it's fed up of though it'll be sweet child if mine for the 10,000 time lol

My cheapie in the D1 died after her in doors stuck Miley Bloody Cyrus in it, it never forgave me for it and has been ejected to the scrap electronics pile waiting for disposal, soon to be replaced with a Sony DAB Blutooth jobbie so I can wirelessly connect to the phone or jack into the iPod and listen to crystal clear DAB over the din of a 200Tdi LOL

I don't blame it for throwing a wobbly, I'd like to get stuck into Miley Cyrus but not the other way around! Mines still the original stereo thats been in there for 19 years so I can't moan if it's buggered but be nice to keep it if I can.

Just so the thread leads somewhere,just got stereo head out and had a look,world's easiest fix the bottom,grey plug was a tiny bit loose cleaned fuse blades while there and made sure all tight and bingo! What a result!
