steering wheel play

hi again thanks for the help with my last problem was indeed prop bearins my latest problem is i seem to have execessive play in the steering wheel seems like the bearing is on way out .wot i was woundering can i change the bearing or do i have to change the whole column ?

What sort of "play" do you mean ?

Rotational play (as if you have track rod end/steering wheel joint/steering box worn) and you're having trouble steering in a straight line or up and down play, or in and out play ?

my feeling too lukily shes off the road while im waiting for the garage to reopen to fix the prop bearings again. to explain it better if you hold the steering wheel you can rock the wheel up and dwn and side to side it only moves a few mill and is not loose but dont feel rite if it was a road wheel id say the bearing was shot is it a hard job to replace the column ?

Ah, so not steering related. Possibly the upper mounting bracket loose ?
