I'm in the process replacing my cylinder head/gasket. The head I've removed had the ****ty plastic dowels, hence the head has moved. I've checked the posts on here regarding the Vin numbers that can use the steel dowels and believe mine is in the range but my parts supplier suggests it's not. (I think as his parts list say so)
Can someone who understands the Vin numbers please clarify the situation before I start fitting the head.
My Vin ends in 31A700016.
If it falls outside the range can I modify the steel dowels to suit?
