i have ordered the same kit
when i turn the key all i hear is a click...
are you still happy with it? is it difficult to install the kit?

The kit is really easy to fit, the only difficult part of the whole job is removing the top nut to get the starter off, and that's just a persistence/patience game.

which i dont have much..............
i have to take off both alternator and the starter motor
so, belt off first. which one should i take off first to have a better access to the last bit? alternator?

I take it you mean you're taking the alternator off anyway?

From what I can remember I don't think you'll have any advantage either way tbh.

This is how I got the top nut off, going through the gap between the head and the intake manifold with this

Plain sailing after that.

Yep mines still working as it should . And yes once you got off the starter it was only a 10minute job to fix in the new contacts ,you will see when you take the old ones out how worn they are , but don't strip both sides out at the same time .take one side out at a time laying out the parts in order on the bench as you do , then rebuild each side . Or take a pics as you work for reference . Hope it all goes well :)

did you spray anything after you have installed the new kit? i,e wd40 (not the best thing i know) or any other electric spray thing?
i am going to find a solvent or smth to clean up the alternator AND the starter once i take them out

I always use a electric contact cleaner . In fact I always keep a can in my landy . I get mine from halfords . And yes I cleaned it all up and gave the plunger a light rubbing with a Emory sponge
