Confirmed this morning that DCC (Highways) has put in place a 3 month closure to enable repairs to take place. The closure is prevents vehicles from using the route. The location of the problem is shown on the attached plan next to large stone gate posts.

Id be happy to lend a hand a do some repairs give me chance to make a few more likeminded people, I doubt the 2 times ive been down it will have done that much damage but like you say if I want to continue to use it I suppose I should be prepared to get me hands dirty

Been advised repairs are to be coordinated between Free Spirit 4x4 and Derbyshire CC who have the machinery and authority to fix it.
I've been in touch and have put my name forward to help put it right as and when they arrange the weekend in which they'll carry out the necessary repairs.

Dunno, I thought they might be waiting for it to set, or settle, before testing it with a vehicle.....................who knows.

it might be done but knowing derbyshire county council they will take the full closure period to the max and not open it earlier because they hate 4x4's.

Shrivelled they will not be, by the time i get to poland, ill have been without for a few months!

have a gig in Vienna 2 days before so i might be in Warsaw on the 30th july if they fly us or not until late in the evening if they bus us.
Im down with the off roading, i wont get much other chance this year
