My hazards cam on once, unexpectedly and then would not go off.

Transpired the plastic bung in the top of the thermostat housing had split and was spraying water everywhere when under pressure.

May not be the problem but worth a look or better still replace it with the brass type (and the one in the top of the radiator). Do the job properly and replace the header tank cap as well.

cheers for the info matey. the bung in the rad has been changed to the brass type. However as i now have a replacement engine fitted, the stat housing has the plastic bung fitted. Which is stuck lol.
