if the trip meter works it means the instrument is gone......if the tripmeter has stopped too there's a problem with the signal from the SLABS ECU(output or wiring issue) ...it's testable with hawkeye or nanocom
I know it's an old post but for those who read this, there are a series of splice plugs wrapped up in the wiring harness behind the heater motor behind the glove box. One or more of these will have corrosion in them causing a poor circuit specifically the grey and orange ones.
