Speaker fitting issue

Taken my AC unit out tonight which had the speakers mounted into it, unit came out very easily but when I took the speakers out to fit back into the dash I have room issues with the passenger side due to the windscreen wiper motor. Is there a collar I can fit to give me enough depth to mount it? The drivers side went in easily

Nearside requires spacer to clear the wiper motor, as you have discovered. Google Defender speaker spacer and you will find what you need. From memory they are a plastic ring about 1" deep. You could make one out of MDF if pushed though.

Aren't speaker magnets great for collecting all those rust flakes that would end up on the floor mats every time you slam the door.....!?

ordered a pair, thanks for that, fortunately there only seems to be a minor amount of rust behind the wiper cover, i was a bit worried at what i would find as when i restored a series III it was totally corroded. i have bought some rust convertor to spray the small rusty patch that's there.
