Hi all!

As of this weekend i will have a spare 100inch chassis from my disco as ill have another one to plonk the body onto.
Scrapping it seems like a waste to me as there isnt much wrong with it so im gonna keep it (mainly because i will want another project when my disco is finished) and i want to do so somthing with it. But what?

Any ideas?

Defo a Defender. But then again Trials motor would be fun.

whats the costs for galvanising? I've laid my hands on a chassis thats pretty solid and have the v5 - was going to enquire as to what a ball park figure for galvanising would be? Doesn't seem to be anywhere locally to me that can advise

The advice me and MarkL were given by richards chassis is not to hot dip galvanise a chassis.

The galv will only take to the outside and the chassis and will rot from the inside out instead.

Apparently it is better to just clean, prime and hammerite an old chassis.

Exactly what im planning minus the hammer****e.

Will use manor chassis paint instead. :)
