So yesterday in Archers Post, I'm driving along. Catch a drift. Followed by a rock. Then this happened. image.jpg

I'm fine. Although as a precaution I've been MedEvacd to Nairobi by Halo and Fixed Wing. My severe head ache is not being aided by whiplash sustained in the cab. Thank fook I had an internal roll cage!

I'm on my phone so I will upload more images in the rest of the thread hopefully

The engine was still running, so I turned it off. Climbed through the window, which if you know your MoD standard vehicles they are tiny, and fell into a weird shock. Luckily Kenya Defence Force were nearby and stopped to open up a comms line with the British

I am. Being discharged in the morning. They're just observing although a CT scan and blood test came back as normal! Thank f&ck.

I wasn't even going excessive speed that's what is annoying. Maybe like 50kph. Apparently it's done fairly often on those tracks. I'm just thankful I put my seatbelt on cause it stopped me flying round the cab.

It's frightening it doesn't take much it the way of dips and bumps caught at the wrong time with the movement of the suspension to flip.

Glad you walked away

Thanks everyone. I'm ok. The physio will help there neck clear up as the Battle Group brought their physio with them.

Tell Mad Hat Man REME had it covered.

I am not a Driver by Profession. I make maps and provide geographic products to display intelligence or make visual aids to enable to battle group to move more efficiently. However. I have an army licence which says I can drive the LR on and off road and with a trailer if need be.

Ok but he won't be happy now that he's covered in sun cream and just put his favourite Hawaiian shirt on..

Glad you're ok ;)

Literally just caught a bit of a drift on a sandy track. Counter steers as I had done many times that day. The back swung out further than usual as the left side was digging deep. Then my front left wheel caught a rock. And the 180degree roll began. But literally that fibreglass would have crumbled instantaneously without that cage. But it's held up pretty well. I was evacuated by the time it got put right so I haven't seen the full extent but we can take from this that its not the end of the world for that landy.
