I have a 500 unit text/minutes free internet and free same network calls- paying £5 month for it sim only.

I mainly call, few texts and never used Internet on phone yet.

I would like a full 3G compatible phone as on three network(doesn't have to be branded but must be 3g) and I've been looking at ones with qwerty keyboard.

So priorities are
1) scratch resistant
2) battery life -really not interested in charging every night
3) qwerty keyboard
4) decent internet browsing maybe?
5) Not like a brick

No more than £120 really

Suggestions please

Find a phone pouch they survive, with screen protector the dust gets under screen protector or the body, keys wear with what I get upto.

I have a near immaculate N95 8gb, but I can't get it unlocked. (replaced body covers and screen)
Tried simlock bypass chip
Tried unlockers-who couldn't get it to work
Still works fine on vodaphone PAYG sim so not blocked

Happy to buy a handset if like nokia the spares to re furb are cheap

I have got a Nokia E72, in fact I am on it now. The one before (unsurprisingly the E71) is very similar and can be got on payg

Seen an E63 for I think about £60, battery life a must-what's it like honestly on your E71?

are they pocket monster or do you find them okay?

About the same size as a blackberry. Blackberrys and iPhones are for those who follow the herd.

can get the E5 for about £150 I think, nokia C6 would be good but pricey

Have a look at the samsung genio qwerty. You can get one for about £50 if you have a quick scout around and they're supposed to be good. Gadget show says they're the best phone for under £100.

Had to be a 3 g handset, with things being uncertain recently I wanted to keep monthly contract low and supply my own handset instead of expensive monthly commitment.
Also upgrades offered some really ****e handsets or pushed expensive tarrif.

So I'm on talker 500 units £18 month plus 2gb data £5 and 5000 same network mins £5= discounted so paying just £5 month sim only.

On a different note I have found screen protectors damage phone by trapping dust under edges, crystal cases are ****e.

My solution is a silicone skin and a phone sock.

If it needs to be left on side then vibrating on any surface the skin protects it.
Sock stops the dust and ****e in pocket of work trousers scratching it

Mobile phone browsers, so what are you all using? Best I have tried is Opera mobile so far the others have failed spectacularly to render pages in a reasonable format for a phone.

I have a blackberry 8900.... at first the qwerty keyboard was wierd... now I love it... that and the fact the camera is good, has loadsa memory for lanin trips, has all me addresses for everyone on it.. and the internet browser is ok but i find its a bit slow, and tbh still not 100 % sure im usin it correctly, the textin is good too as you only have to press the enter button. :)

Although mine was a upgrade for me contract no idea how much you would pay for one.

if your provider is 3, then make sure there is actually any 3G where you live, their network is ****e....

and altough they may have 3G, the speeds they are rolling out are crap compared to other operators..

as an example, Vodafone is running 7.2Mpbs on all their 3G sites, and in London its all going up to 21.6....

Found a way to avoid Blackberry Internet service and get push mail working saving £70 a year.
Found a way to get missing service books on to enable email and successfully using Shangmail to push googlemail account and others for free:p

:D but I like beating the system:p

Unlocked mine as well for less than £5 -have to say I'm sold on it as a handset.
Only thing that needs tweaking is third party apps the touch button sensitivity would be an improvement

£5 month contract too
