Freelander Snorkel Installation

I have seen many vids of Freelander's going through water and the
water coming up over the bonnet,,is this likely to cause problems??

TD4 just beware of the vacuum vent for the turbo actuator at the back of the engine, it loops downwards

Most snorkles only put the air intake higher to get out of dust not to increase wading depth, waste of money on a freelander, just change your air filter with 6 monthly oil change if you off road,

400mm is the official depth. Which is probbably deep enough. But a snorkel will keep it outta the injun, it wont stop ya flating away...........

Or the doors falling orf

it would be cheaper (and make more sense) to highten the breather pipes for the IRD and diff
Breather for the IRD is already high up on the bulkhead by the vacuum inlet filter.
Diff breather is easily moved up behind the reverse/fog lights.

I've had water in my air box, ird, diff and footwells! So all of the above is recommended if playing seriously off road. And no my doors haven't fallen off!!!;)
