the turbo may be under water but it draws air through the snorkle/air filter and is a sealed unit

that looks good mate and as you say does the job nicely, been offered a safari one for 100 nicker inc airbox but not sure if i like the look of them, but suppose it would be easier to fit..
and about the sound deadening its not that much louder without it so am just going to get good set rubber mats for the inside,
probably get another 5mpg coz they weighed about as much as two people..

Aye it works, i may neaten it up a bit if i come accross a free off cut of stainless. A also retro-fitted a 200tdi airbox and apparently the seal alot better. Also need to put some mesh on the top to stop leaves getting in.

yer got rid of mine after a found it was full of water.
then went to Bures and got stuck in some very deep water. That night i binned my carpets too.

Hi Chris, Brian text asked if i was up for Monday, said your going looking for some wet stuff, If we can fit in a few lanes as well sounds good, saw stu today think he is up for it. Forget violet lane , with the rain we have had we will just float away.

I am Up for some wet stuff as Geoff said...........

Only one thiing with your snorkel tho chris, I we have to be carefull not to run the top over, lol....

With the hit exhaust gas still surging through it I don't think it would cool quickly enough to damage it. Ok it would cool on the outside, but it wouldn't massively and instantly contract cos it would still be heavily heated.

Probably why there aren't so many cracked turbos.

Tbh, I dunno however :D
