Want to fit a snorkel in the new year but have a couple of questions people may be able to help with.

My defender, despite being a 300tdi, came fitted with 200tdi wings so there's no intake vent on the O/S wing. I also don't have the plastic ducting that would be inside the wing however the hose from the filter is still there with the water drain in.

I'm happy with the idea of cutting the wing but have a couple of questions, I need a snorkel with a spigot that enters through the wing to attach the hose to, do the safari style snorkels have this? I can only find one on eBay that seems to.

Also what size ducting would I need to go from the spigot to the filter housing?

This is the eBay one I've found that looks my best bet

Anyone used these?

Im pretty certain all the 300 snorkels have the spigot you need as standard, its only the 200 one thats flush fitting as all the gubbins inside the wing are reused with the new snorkel.
Iirc the hose I used on my 200 was 60mm id, but I would check when you get the snorkel first as the pipe isnt cheap.
Mines a safari and I got it second hand, if I had to buy new it would be a copy one like you have linked to at half the price you cant really argue.

Yeh I must admit that one looks to be a good buy and from the pictures I can see it would do the trick.

Can I justify buying one just before Xmas.... Have to keep that a secret from the Mrs!

Would that be the same design with the spigot? Looking at some on eBay, admittedly only based of the pictures which may not be accurate, some do and some don't.
