Hi
i have an ex military 90 with a 200tdi engine fitted in place of the standard diesel engine. As such it has no air intake ports on the wing. Is it still possible to fit a snorkal and would it mean cutting a hole in the wing?
Thanks

Not necessarily.....

You could route a pipe out from underneath and up the outside  :D

Cant believe there's not even a vent in the top of the wing though??

I have done exactly the same on an ex MOD 90 soft top. Fitted a 200TDi and put a Mantec snorkel on to go with it. Yes you cut a hole, but Mantec provide a perfect template to cut the holes (or I have a copy). It took a couple of hours to do and looks great.

Of course if you don't seal it properly including sealing the air filter canister and you get stuck in deep water you will hydrolock the engine. Guess how I know........
