Went for a bit of a drive along the beach today, and noticed my clutch was slipping. Caused me to get bogged in the end.

Also, the clutch pedal now has a habit of not returning when depressed to the floor. Sometimes it comes back, but if it does, I need to put my foot under it to lift it all the way.

If it doesn't I have to lean forward and grab it and pull it up. All right on the beach, bit awkward in the town.

Sooooo, what does the old girl need now.

check return spring is still in tact fastened on one off the top securing bolts for pedal box to pedal,i would fit new master cylinder and slave if been on a good few years and new clutch kit ,wash car thoroughly after going on beach and waxoyl before eveywhere

Could be a broken/disconnected pedal return spring or the slave or master cylinder is sticking and not allowing the clutch to engage properly. Slave cylinder's not too difficult to replace, master's a bit more of a fag, but I'd start here - they could probably do with replacing if they've been on a while, they're relatively cheap and they're easier than taking the gearbox out.
Here's a thought - disconnect the hydraulic pipe at the master cylinder output, if the pedal doesn't return it's a spring or master cylinder fault, if it does return it's the slave cylinder or clutch.

Just researching importing parts as everything is more than twice the price over here.

What do you guys think of the 'All makes' parts from this outfit.

Any recommendations for 'branded' parts, or shouldn't I bother.

Cheers

I ran my Series for many years with an old coil bed spring for the clutch return! Only remembered when I had to do something else in the vicinity!

Also had an elastic band as throttle return for over 2 years until it finally gave way ... only to be replaced with another one because I was out in the middle of nowhere at the time!

Invention and adaptation is the only way to keep going with a Landy!
