"Slightly" Modified Slave Bracket

I ever so slightly modified :)p) my slave bracket today, but it will never come off in traffic again like it did during rush hour yesterday!

Picture below, the threaded part is an exhaust clamp (89p halfrauds) the other half gets put on after the slave and clamps around it, when put together its rock solid.

A bit rough and a lot of overkill perhaps but it beats that plastic lego clip Landrover fitted.

Methos

Its a 38mm, the smaller ones fit but the 38 had longer threads which were still a bit short hence the block below the clamp.

A couple of bolts welded in place or threaded bar would have been quicker and easier I guess but it was quick bodge job, the cable ties holding it together last night until i got home wouldn't go very much further.

When mine came off, the ring of "plastic" that holds it in place on the other side of the C clip completely snapped :)doh:) off the top end of the slave so this saved me £70 replacing the master/slave unit too. :D

Not very clear but you get the idea ;)

The back plate tacks all the weight (instead of the front of the slave) and the clamp holds it firmly in place.

Not very tidy or cut neater but it was a bish bash bosh job...

Good idea, I'm gonna try that on mine. My slave cylinder flaps around like a dick in a top hat due to the plastic clip being bollocksed so I reckon your mod will improve my pedal feel no-end. Cheers!
