since engine change have electrical issues

Hello to all

ok took my freelander in to have engine changed after headgaskets went and fried engine Was fitted by a garage but since coming home this has happened

Horn only works when ignition off
Fuel guage not working
when engaging drive the reverse light also shows up lit however when you turn the lights on the reverse red light goes out
No reverse lights
On the right hand side when ignition lights on or engine running wing indicator light stays on and the blinks on when others are off and via serversa
Drivers side window does not work(Have checked switch, fuse and can hear the relay working)

Have checked the obvious fuses relays etc but there must be on thing that the mechanic has not done, could the electic window which is broke be causing a dodgy circuit as all seems on r/h side of car. Can anyone recomend where to start as have not got a wiring diagram. Your help would be appreciated

3 check engine earths and gearbox earths

sounds like an earthing issue somewhere down the line.

download a copy of the RAVE CD and that has all the wiring diagrams in

I know they fitted a different battery as mine was dead flat and knackered if they fitted one that was not excat could this be a problem. The cat starts and runs fine,apart from the engine only other change was the battery but was not a new one, was one out of another car, am bit worried now after reading on forum about getting a excat one for car

defo sounds like they left an earth off the body somewhere when doing the engine or replacing the battery

If you have had a engine swop done then the only earth i can think off that they would disconnect is the gearbox one as it is quite easy to miss when bolting the engine and gearbox back up it should be near the top of the gearbox, radiator side

Thank you for the replies, this is wierd got home from work and all the above problems solved, everything back on, even window works, worrying thing is dont know what it was, as it was like it for a week, but i suppose i cant complain,

since engine change have electrical issues
