I recently ordered a galvanised bulkhead for my 1971 Series 3 with a promise that it would be shipped in 48hrs. That was now over 2 weeks ago and no sign of it plus some fairly unconvincing comms from Shielder which makes me wonder if I’m getting the run-around.

Have any of you guys or girls have recent experience of Shielder, good or bad?

I understood that some of their publicised problems had been ironed out but I’m beginning to wonder. At least I paid with a credit card….

Thanks very much,

Iain

I had one from them a couple of years ago, no issues with delivery or customer service but bulkhead itself wasn't as good as I expected.

Holes in the wrong place, not tapped etc. Only very slightly out but enough to ruin your day.

Thanks very much. Finally got an update that it’s due to be delivered to me mid this week. Once I’ve checked it over fully and done an initial fit, I’ll post a review on the forum.

I've heard good reports about their bulkheads. Fabricated without lapped joints, ideal for galvanizing.. keep us posted

Just received the bulkhead. No idea why it took so long. First check of condition and measurements look good as do the welds. A bit of a ripple on the panel above the transmission tunnel but largely hidden so I’m not concerned about it. Will let you know how it fits when I get to that stage.
Cheers,
Iain
