Hi all. Picked up my first Ldf2 at the beginning of June and it is now coming up to its 3 year service. I down loaded a service schedule from the web which said that this service was an A plus break fluid. My local Landrover dealer said it should be a major service and wants £530. Can anyone advise me what servicing I should be doing. Current mileage is 50000. Thanks in anticipation.

Members on here like "Newbies" to introduce themselves in the "Introduce Yourself" section before attempting to pick their very knowledgeable grey matter.

However, I would be tempted to look at freel2.com which is dedicated to your model, as the majority of freelander owners on here have pre 2007 models.

Oh and :welcome2:

Good call but then noo FL2 members would be good and could have plenty to contribute.

I would say please introduce yourself. Have a look see if you can find manuals/info to help other FL2 owners put a rhino skin jacket on and get stuck in ;)

If you look at the schedule its only the usual checks, an oil and filter change and the brake fluid. You don't get much for £530. Unless you need the stamp for warranty take it to an indi or do it yourself for less than £100.

a service 15,000 year 1
b service 30,000 year 2
a service 45,000 year 3
b service 60,000 year 4

or whichever is sooner, and l r recommend brake fluid every three years.
