Just been to an independent LR garage and as I don't believe my FL has been serviced correctly in its 6 years (other than as a normal car). I asked for a full major service to be carried out.
This includes all fluids dropped and flushed, all filters including fuel, brakes stripped and cleaned as well as all other service maintenance detailed on LR service schedule and using genuine LR parts. I have been quoted £365 inc VAT and includes a courtesy car for the day.

Is this reasonable or should I look elsewhere. Not sure what stealers price would be for same service.

You are quite correct to suspect that it hasn't been serviced correctly as in my experience even main dealers will miss as much as they think they can get away with (after all, how many people ask to see removed componenets or check that all oils are clean & up to the mark?).
When my wife's 2006 TD4 came out of warrenty, despite the full main dealer service history I decided to give it a full service as although I couldn't put my finger on it, it didn't seem right. Experience had shown from when they "looked after" my Defender that they could charge the earth but actually do very little, needless to say that as soon as the warranty was over I went back to DIY again.

Needless to say that after a few hours in my tender hands (the F1 TD4 is dead easy to service) every oil, fluid, filter & belt had been replaced and my god it made a difference!
I still do engine oil & filter at 6-months and air & crankcase filters at 12-months, keeps it as sweet as a bird.

i always ask for the old parts to be put in a bag or box ,once i get a pair of front pads but they were not of my wife's car and i do not know which car they came off either ,just shows you can not trust them all

I've had my 06 TD4 from new, serviced by my main LR dealer for the first two years. For the third year main service I was quoted £705, I said thanks for the quote I'll let you know.

I have a friend who has his own garage I told him what I wanted and he did everything at a cost of £160. He has serviced it every year since until this year when I decided to do it myself, as it was the 60,000 main service which involved all the oils, filters, and belts, I even did the crank case breather BMW mod, and the EGR blank mod.

Can't say how much it cost as I've not worked it all out yet but now I know myself what has been done and must say really enjoyed doing it. I used to do all my own servicing years ago until company cars put a stop to it.
