Hi guys, can anyone give me a part number, correct name or even a source for a serpentine belt tensioner stud please?

I was sat in traffic in the disco today when I heard/felt a heavy clunk and the battery light came in the dash. I thought I'd best pull onto the verge and the steering was heavy, so I instantly thought the fan belt had snapped. When opened the bonnet and found the belt was fine and the tensioner assembly dangling I checked it to find the the stud had snapped off in the block with about 2 mm recessed...

I have a nice set on stud extractors to probably make it worse, but when I do get the stud out, what do I replace it with!?
If anyone is near Taunton with said stud, then I'll happily relies you of it! :D

I'll also make a fan spanner to get that out of the way - does anyone know the size of the nut before I dig out my calipers?
For what it's worth, I think this stud failed because of the penny trick - I did it about 6-7 months back instead of replacing the worn pulley bearing. That's the last time I'll do that...:(

Thanks chaps

The epnny trick is a good stop gap for your sanity, sadly many people the forget about the problem until something like that happens,

Wait until James come along, he knows these things,

Otherwise googe part numbers or trawl website distributors in the mean time like i do when things break

Thankfully the stud drilled out and extracted with a L/H threaded extractor quite easily, so grateful for that :)
It does make me think that I need to do the cam belt soon though - there's no service history despite being promised it by post from the seller, and I feel like I'm I'm pushing my luck with it now... :(

Do it if not sure, sounds like you have the hand skills for drilling out and extracting the stud so cambelt change won't present any issues to you.

That happened to me on also a couple days ago! I had to eventually replace the whole bracket couldn't get the bit out and the garage couldn't either
