wanting to make my series a little better of road......

anyone done any mods
how can in make it better ofroad

EVEN if they were well made........EVEN if they fitted.......EVEN if they didn't fall to pieces in 6 months......your driving a leafer, how much difference do you really think they'll make to your ride?

A resounding NO on that one then.. does ANYONE have any faith in the dreaded bitpart..? may have used a swivel oil seal before realising:doh:... not having that off again in a hurry in this weather..

Series 2' and 2a's and threes and even.. ones were built for off road... there is nothing needed... apart from driving skills...and a hot drink... and maybe a scarf!

Taller tyres and a set of parabolics with +2" procomp shocks will make a big difference

I wouldn't bother with polybushes the rubber ones are more flexible anyway, which is what you want offroad

can i sneak a little question in here?

why?

have you been stuck/unable to get anywhere/laffed at because of poor off road performance?

if not, seems a slightly odd excersise. If you want to do it then that's a good enough reason too tho.

bigger tyres help on and off road, i'm running 7.5 x 16 and thy give a slight speed advantage but an acceleration hit.

i have just fitted 7.50 * r16 s.a.gs which seem to be better than what were on and yeah i have been stuck where other landys will go...

A few mods can make a big difference, at the time this vid was taken the only mods were:

parabolics
+2" procomp shocks
+2" spring shackes
265/75/16 insa turbo special tracks

oh,and a throbing V8 under the bonnet!!

All you need is big chunky tyres :) I also have 265 75 16 Insa Special Tracks and they are a million times better than the old 7.50 SATs I had on there. I've also got 1 tonne lift shackles so the tyres don't foul the arches when flexxing and a 200tdi which really gives it some punch :)
