I did mention about earths in post #13

lol, ill get a new battery tomorrow and looking at the earth lead that goes from the engine to the battery, its pretty knackered, ill sort those two out and report back

I think you just answered your own question.

oh and the centre brake drum, thanks for all the advice by the way, its really helpful

Start at the beginning
Does the engine turn when out of gear and being turned over with a spanner on the crank shaft
You know something like the engine not being seized solid
Now with it still out of gear and the hand brake off can you roll the vehicle forward and back
If not the I be looking at the handbrake

got the engine to turn over by fixing the earth lead, took the drum off the handbrake and found that the actuator attached to the handbrake lever is seized and doesnt seem to be un-seizing, it rolls now tho
