Hi guys,
My nephew has brought and stripped a series 3 land rover, which he plans to rebuild.
Unfortunatly he already stripped it before I got a chance to get a look at it, IDIOT.
Now when it's time to rebuild there are a few things he can't remember which way they go back, and that's why I've come on here, and hopefully you guys might be able to help me out from time to time, PLEASE.
First on the list is front springs. one looks taller than the other and we don't know which is which, does anyone know which is n/s and which is o/s?
Thanking you in advanced
Dave Hob.

Firstly, Welcome to the site.
The taller (longer) springs go on the drivers side, not sure why.
I had the same Q on my rebuild and the closest answer was to accommodate
a fat farmer driving the Landy.

about the springs, its beacuse of the 'fat farmer symdrone' and also thats where the fuel tank is so therefore extra weight on that side

First of all Dave :welcome2: to the nuthouse!!

Apart from the springy thingy, the rest of it is just a big meccano set, and if it looks as though a bit should go there, it usually does! :D

I helps if you put the biggest and heaviest bit at the front, then fix the next big heavy bit to that and connect it up to the funny things what holds the springs and wheels on, the rest of it is all lightweight stuff, and you can put them wherever they fit best!

Congratulations!! You are now a Landy Engine Ear !!:D:D

The old 'blame it on the nephew' gag eh! Tis a strange way to introduce yourself but :welcome2: anyways.
