Series 3 in Gloucs

This is my Series 3 which I dragged home yesterday:



She came from Kings Lynn via Hatfield, and made it as far as Bibury before conking out! Lying fuel gauge and leaky tank to blame, I think.

Tucked up in the garage now though:



Jobs to do:

1. Fix the oil leak - see my other thread!
2. Fix the fuel leak
3. Bloody good clean

Having checked her chassis nr, it looks like Ruby (geddit?) is actually a IIA, and started life as a petrol. Might be the answer to my fuel tank woes - see my thread in the Series forum!

Mine had a habit of lying to me too. In fact thinking about it, they all have.

Once I filled my lightweight( twin tanks ) and found that one tank was leaking. By the time I got home I'd wasted half a tank.
