Check to see if the switch is in too far, the switch needs to be in so that the lights just go out when the pedal is released plus a couple of mil for safety.
If the pedal is resting against the switch under the force of the return spring you could be stuffing your switch.
If the pedal is resting against the switch under the force of the return spring you could be stuffing your switch.
