Does anyone know where i can get an adaptor to fit the ford manifold so i can use a series 2 heat sender, or know of a sender that fits the ford and is compatible to the landy gauge? I'm not keen on the in hose type.

Never heard of one, you might be as well to take the fanimold and series 2 sender to a engineering shop and ask them to bash out the fanimold to the thread of the sender, or if the hole is too big for the sender then make an adaptor.

Been down to the plumbers merchants and had a brevitt and come up with:- 1, 3/8 bsp male staight connector, 1, 5/8 male to 3/8 female reducer, 1 5/8 female straight connector and 1, 5/8 male - female connector and the landy sensor fits, seems a long way round it but it works and cost a fiver, hope this helps anyone trying to do the same.

Nice kludge. I'm surprised the Ford has an imperial thread, though. Presumably it's a water filled inlet manifold you're putting the plug into.

The Ford is a 3/8 npt( 27 threads per inch) and the bsp has 28, but it screws in by hand,
It fits into the head just behind the dizzy, Dunno why the hell i said manifold, must have been the scrumpy.
