Sat nav radio Harmon kardom

Can anyone tell me I have a 2004 td4 with the Harmon kardon sat nav radio, when you switch off the car and remove the key should the radio switch off? We have a Bluetooth system in the car that works tgrough the radio so need it on but forget to switch off radio and don't wanna flatten the battery so will it turn itself off after so many minutes? I have tried watching it for a couple of minutes but stayed on

The Becker nav should go off with the ignition. It sounds like it's been wired wrongly.

Hmm I thought so. I got Halfords to wire in a pure Bluetooth device I'm wondering if they have touched it!!

I'd say so. Why didn't you just replace the stereo with one that has Bluetooth facilities built in?

On mine (with harmon kardon) I just remove the key, the radio goes off, then I hit the radio power button again, the radio comes on again.
