Sat Nav Issue

Evening all, recently changed the battery on the truck as the other was as flat as a witches t*t. Since then the Sat Nav has refused to work. The screen flashes when the ignition is first engaged but nothing else, the disc has ejected and won't seem to load. Does anyone know if this can be re-set or does it need to go to a main stealer, or, is it knacked.
