Tried them thanks - not interested, neither were sureterm direct
Trouble is I need my 22 year old son on the policy - what ****es me off is both these companies advertise drivers of any age - why do this if they won't accept them ?

Glad to see you have decided to post and stop lurking around like Gollum Iain :p
Good idea mind - I'll get Bob's no. from you next week when you are off work
Waiting on Lancaster and Roadsure getting back to me - surely someone will insure the wee bugger

Quick update
Phoned NFU today (already insure 2 landies with them )
After a quick call to their underwriters with the sec of the motor then yes, no problem at all !
Fully comp, unlimited mileage and an agreed value based on work done to the rangie at no extra cost to a standard rangie !
Shame on you, all the so-called "specialist" companies !

Heres a couple of pics...........................................

I agree about NFU. They were the only insurers to even think about insuring me for my P38. All the companies that say 'any age' seem to always find someway to refuse!!

-Wills :)

It's 90% there - previous owner had it a year but did bugger all in the way of maintenance
It's been built on a brand new chassis with all the right bits attached, just needs some bigger wheels and a bit of TLC to be spot on

Adrian Flux used to be the dogs danglers of a place to get insurance from , but i don't know whats happend but loads of people i know have tried to get quotes and they carnt do out.

my mate has a suburu impretza estate with 20 in wheels , jap import , huge turbo and more mods than you can shake a stick at , won't touch it, and yet there ad says wheel insure any one and anything....
im with nfu now after loads of crap from tesco.... i would nt touch them again with a barge pole.

i know the motor well...my mate bobbed it a few years ago. a truly sorted motor, had many fun days out in it all over south wales.will post pics if i can find them.enjoy yourself .....we did

That's great news that you know the motor !
I have been trying to find previous owners or people who knew it so I can try to find out what exactly is fitted to it
I even put a post on GORC (Glamorgan off road club ) site asit still has one of its stickers on the back
You can tell your mate from me that he has made a fantastic job of bobbing it and he can rest assured it is now in safe hands and will be well looked after
I will be the third owner since he moved it on ( in '06 ? )
The previous owner lives in the same town as me and I got first dibs on it - the guy before (and the one I presume your mate sold it to ) was Tommy someone ? from near Glasgow
Any info/spec and pictures that you can supply would really be appreciated as I have no history with the motor
Cheers
Kenny

this range rover was bobtailed in swansea, south wales by a very good friend of mine.it had a full chasis up rebuild starting with a shot blasted chasis, scorpion suspension, pto winch(it's an animal !!)custom roof rack, custom fuel tank(between chasis legs)custon front and rear bumpers...and the list goes on..and on and on. many twighlight hours gone into this car....however much you paid for it...it wasn't enough.here are some pics of it in action.enjoy yourself with the peace of mind that you have a very capable car.

Thanks for the pictures and info, much appreciated
What I would REALLY appreciate is some more technical info if you or your mate can be bothered doing me a list
You know the sort of stuff :-
Engine - can see it's a 200 tdi but any mods or rebuild prior to fitting
What gearbox and what ratio transfer box - are they original to the car or from a donor and any work done
Axles/diffs - original or donor and any work done
Any other useful info you can think of would be great
If you can't be arsed that's fine - I appreciate what you have done for me already anyway
Cheers
Kenny
