Rr 3.0l Td6

Hi I am new to this forum so be gentle. I have recently purchased a 40,000 mile 3.0l Vogue. I have heard you can chip them to help the fuel economy which pretty much sits at 20-21mpg. Occasionally it gets to 22 on a long trip.

Any pointers?
