Had a browse through threads but can't find anything really mentioning about just taking the roof alone off,

Wanting to paint my bonnet and roof next month, its got full head lining in and lighting currently, that's no real trouble to take out. Are there any guides on removing the roof about? Is it hard and does it need any type of sealant or rubber gasket that goes on when putting it back on?

I would imagine as with most things with a Landy its just a matter of unbolting it?

Nice easy job
bolts out above thd screen and down both sides and rear is I remember
After removing the head lining

Thanks for the info and product link. I think my roof is fiberglass, maybe it was a pick up at some point and has been converted, wondered why I didn't have the windows in the roof like all the others do :p

I've got no lining in my roof, as my roof comes off as soon as theres a bit of sunshine! But it's just bolts along both sides at the top or bottom of the side panels depending on whether you want to separate or lift off in one and 8 or so bolts along the top of the windscreen... It's awkward due to weight as one lump, possible but easier if you've got an extra pair of hands to help!
I'm going to invest in some canvas I think...

Hope this helps! Cheers, Zach
