My roof linings a bit on the saggy side and I was thinking of removing it, cleaning up underneath, fitting a bit of soundproofing before putting it back on.

Those white clips don't come out that easy ... any tips here ?

I used a screwdriver to lever them out slightly then got a claw-hammer on them and prised them out like that, came out very easily and without damage, went back in fine.

Thanks all. I'm going for the brute force method employing the use of screwdrivers, claw hammers, pliers and replacing with new :)

Plan A is to clean up and fit some form of insulation/sound proofing. There are plenty of good suggestions in other threads. Cheers...

I love removing those white plugs, gets all my aggression out if you give them hell!!! Have fun!

I see what you mean. Some of them were so tight I swore I swore :)

There's bags of room up there, i gave the roof a quick swipe over with cleaner and stuck some rubber/foam padding on with heat-proof carpet glue.

A packet of new clips (£3.90 eBay) 1/2 tin of Autocare foam fabric cleaner (£2.99 eBay) a bit of elbow grease and the cab looks as good as new.

I still had a bit of saggyness so I drilled a 6.5mm hole 6" above the vanity light, pushed a new plug in (well knocked it in with a rubber hammer to be honest) and jobs a goodun :)

I am sooooo impressed with the foam cleaner, never used it before but it's amazing how the dirt just wiped off....
