Hi Guys,
well sorry to say but the landy has now been traded in for an X Trail. I needed the extra room and something a bit better on fuel as I am doing longer journeys more often. I wanted the newer freelander but could not justify the price.

Anyway if anyone is interested, I have a ronbox 2A for sale. It was a 2E but I sent it back and had it reprogrammed about 1 year ago so it has the most up to date software.

Thought that I would offer it to you guys first before putting on a well known auction site.

Make me an offer, you never know.

Steve.

You need 50+ constructive posts to sell stuff on here, and then you post it in the for sale section, not in here

No worries, I'll sell it on ebay. I was going to let it go for £35 to a forum member as they have been so helpful with me in past but thanks to your good self some forum member is not going to get the bargain that they deserve !!
Give yourself a great big pat on the back, i'm sure the freelander section will hold you in high esteem.

Mine was £30 so it won't keep me up at night. I was just pointing out the rules, no need to throw your toys out, I wasn't offensive or rude so chill out, you will live longer

Hi Hippo,
got the 2.2 dci, fantastic tow car and believe it or not I have just done a trip from York to London and return without the reserve light coming on. Brim tho brim, 46.2 mpg
Not bad for the size/weight of vehicle.
What colour is it?

Doubt if the freelanderers hold me in high esteem anyway!

zinc. cracking car. maybe not as good off road as the Landy but miles better on road where it spends most of its time anyway. Hay bales to the horses and pulling the horse box was the most work that the Landy really did and the Xtrail copes just fine. Pulls the box alot better than the Landy

Mad hat mans got one but his is the petrol. He says diesel's blow up turbo's but that may be earlier diesels.

Diesel FL1's can feel a bit low on power for towing so some add the synergy. Moving from FL1 to FL2 increases the power from the diesels.

46 now.

Whats the price like in comparison to Freelanders? I assume slightly cheaper to buy?

Anyway, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone from the forum that has helped me out in the past. Like singvogel, i'm outta here. Goodbye.

Did have one - had it about 5 years and next to no problems - was "surprisingly good" off road - similar to the freelander, but no HDC. This was more than made up for by the switchable haldex "VCU", so that you could use it in 2wd 90% of the time and switch to "Auto" in inclement weather or green laning.

here is a link to a few pics of mine on Salisbury Plain, part of which I led proper Trattas and a few Gaylanders...

With Gen Grabber At2 tyres was very good (low exhaust don't help tho ;).
