Hi everyone! This is my first post here. We have an early 2001 Disco II TD5 which has recently developed a strange sideways rocking motion when driving, we've had the motor 18 months and its only recently started this. It happens mostly around 30-40mph and seems much more noticeable when sat in passenger seat although it can be felt from drivers seat. My other half has had a look over it for any obvious problems with suspension, steering etc but can't see anything out of the ordinary. Any suggestions as to what it might be please?

Try putting the front tyres on the back and back on the front

Hi, Just a thought but how old are the tyres? I know this may sound silly, but when I got my 300tdi back in December, it rocked and rolled like crazy. The tyres that were on it at the time were Pirelli Scorpions and were a good few years old. The side walls were starting to crack and perish, so I got a new set of tyres all round. Now she's really stable and runs true. Could be due to the sidewalls of the tyres allowing the disco to waddle.

Problem solved! Took in to garage yesterday, first thing they checked was tyres and found big bulge on inside edge of osr tyre. Swapped for spare, all ok now. We never thought to check tyres, presuming fault was on nsf suspension! Thanks for your replies.
