Road Tax Costs for a 1.8 serengeti.

Hello all, I've just purchased an 02 plate 1.8 serengeti for the wife and am really pleased with the car, the car is currently sorn, so I've got it in the garage, now according to the slip from the V5 the emmisions figure is 248 g/km which puts it in group L (£460 ), but according to an expired tax disc in the car, it was £134 for 6 months? Does anyone know the actual cost at the moment?

registered before 2001 then

I just paid about £145 for 6 months on mine. I was worried about the tax too but then I realised that the 1.8's are a special case.

mines a 03 reg registerd as a estate car

Well either the DVLA messed up or the 1.8 does have a lower band (L I think.) I'm at work so can't spend too much time looking for it but I have seen the exception spelled out somewhere.

Band K £245 if car reg 01/03/01-26/03/06

I searched my registration number on the dvla site and it states tax is £260, I'm going to tax it tomorrow so I guess I'll know for sure then.
