I think in fact the running gear on the Pookie and Leopard came from VW Kombis (camper vans or mini-bus), not Beetles - not that there's a lot of difference. The Moon Buggy and Kudu were Landy-based - thanks to https://tanks-encyclopedia.com/category/rhodesian-apcs/ for the images!
