firstly hi to all the members (this is my first post and first land rover), i've just recently bought a 1999 freelander to last me until my immigration to oz next year.
i've of course started to notice a couple of problems like the sunroof that doesn't work (got a quote for that)
the bigger worry (and this might be normal for a freelander) is that if i have the steering at full lock and am reversing (and less so if going forward), it's almost as if the breaks are on, it takes more revs to move and once i stop accelerating, it stops as if i'm applying the breaks!

is this because of being in perm 4 wheel drive or am i looking at something more serious?

thanks in advance to anyone that can help

thanks for the replies, i'll be getting some tippex tomorrow :), how much am i looking at to make it right, looks like the sun-roof repair is about to become second priority:(

(and 'aith' was meant to be 'with'.. but you knew that)

They all feel like that, the time to worry is if it judders or a wheel skips which would be because the VC isn't slipping.
