Hi,

Finally realised I'm going to have to replace the rocker gaskets on my V8 (Discovery 2). I've read the rave info, and it looks a bit of a pain to strip all the stuff off the top of the engine....

Anyone know of any shortcuts? or do I just have to do what I'm told:(

Yes real pain use the latter type rubber gaskets
You cheat and only lift the manifold
D top up to remove covers

:D

Lift the manifold and then slide the rocker cover out....

I can see how that will work for me. Thanks

also glue the gasket to the rocker cover while they are off with rtv silicone and weight them down on a flat board with weights till they are dry then when you fit them back on the car the gaskets wont get caught up and twisted and leak
