So after much deliberation....

I finally have decided to replace my doors, i had the car washed today and the amount of water just seeping/running through was crazy..

After looking around i can get a pair for around £500 however then i need to get them painted, fitted with new seals and parts. I already have new door locks, mech and hinges i can use. I noticed the old hinges are a bit shot, the door moves vertical about 5mm on the far edge

I was also thinking of buying a pair of doors from a newer vehicle with electric windows, power locks etc. To save the hassle of rebuilding everything on to the new doors.

has anyone done this, any advice?

i think the amount of rust on my frames is not helping, intact on the lower door frame there is more rust than door...!

My door bottoms were none existant ,even the rust stopped falling when I shut the door, bought the repair panel and set to work angle grinder and a few welds later job done :) .have you taken door cards off to see how bad it is ?

I had no bottom rails left, £20 worth of bits off ebay n job done, used a thick non setting mastic after painting the new panel so shouldn't react any more...

removed the remaining rust n painted

tarted em up with high build n some stopper to get rid of any minor flaws

couple of coats n they look as good as new... in total about £50 the pair plus my time...
