Defender 90 R (97) changing the stereo over (after doing the soundproofing) and I find that there are no from speekers fitted under the grill and the cables have been pactched to the set of rear speakers above the rear door. Well one of these works the other show 3.7 ohms but no sound output!!!
Anyway the question. How easy, or otherwise, is it to feed a new set of cables from the speaker pods in the front dash up to the radio hole without taking the dash apart?

Any help/ Advice greatly appreciated.

Not too bad if you use stiff wire as a guide and undo a few lower dash mounting screws.

Easier if existing cables in place which you can attach new cables to (electrical tape together) and pull through

my big question is - how come you got speakers in the first place, mine hasn't and I'm spending more time wondering where to put em than is reasonable

Sorry to hijack but does anyone know where to get the speaker extention rings from are they lr or retrofit.
